Review AI Translations Before Publishing
October 29, 2026
AI translation updates now go live when you're ready. Turn on Review mode for a language and each update opens a review branch, so you can check the translation and merge it when it's ready. Private docs sites can now serve LLMs.txt, both to readers who are already logged in and to agents that send a project API key.
New Features & Improvements
Translations
- Each AI language now has a Review Updates Before Publishing setting. With it on, translation updates go to a review branch for an admin to check and merge instead of publishing right away. Requires a plan with branches.
- The Translations dashboard has a new Review column showing whether each AI language auto-publishes or has reviews waiting, with a link to each open review. Pages left out of date by a discarded review show in the status menu.
- AI translation now keeps the existing translations of a page's title, excerpt, and SEO fields when only the page body changes.
AI
- Private docs sites (password, admin-only, and custom login) now serve
llms.txtto readers who are logged in or have entered the site password, and the llms.txt setting can be turned on for private projects. - Agents can read
llms.txton admin-only and custom-login sites by sending a project API key in anAuthorization: Bearerheader. - The AI Agent and the Slack AI Writer can now find hidden pages while editing your docs. Ask AI still only answers from public pages.
- The Slack AI Writer can now read public links posted in the thread and use them to update your docs.
Docs
- The Theme Editor has new Links and Link Underline colors for links in page content, and the former Links color is now called Accent. Boreal, Hawk, and Snow default to body-colored links with a brand-color underline that thickens on hover.
- Mermaid diagrams now have zoom and pan controls.
- Custom pages now show the "Did this page help you?" footer when Page Quality is turned on.
Admin
- Page Views now counts fetches of your OpenAPI files when OpenAPI visibility is public, under their own page type.
- Changing an API definition's title in ReadMe now renames its category to match, unless the category has a custom name.
Bugs Eaten (by Owlbert) 🐛
Editor
- Reusable Content and custom components pasted or typed into a page now render, even on projects with more than 100 of them.
- The Edit with AI button now sits above the warning banners at the bottom of the editor, and multiple banners stack instead of overlapping.
- The "This page was changed outside the editor" banner now clears once the page matches the latest saved version.
- In the API Designer, the required toggle no longer overlaps the default value field on narrow screens.
API Reference
anyOfoptions stay full width when Parameter Inputs is turned off.- Wide tables and code blocks in response descriptions now scroll inside the reference column instead of running under the Try It panel.
- Endpoints with many response examples now show the full list in the Response panel.
Docs
- Search autocomplete now matches partial words after a hyphen or slash, like
bi-diordocs/bran. - Changelog posts and API reference pages no longer briefly show another page's content when you navigate to them.
- Markdown versions of pages on a non-stable version now link to pages in that same version, and links inside code blocks are left as written.
- Discussions can be posted from the admin preview on projects with custom CSS or JS.
AI
- Ask AI and MCP answers on enterprise child projects now link to the right pages.
- MCP now sends your API key to endpoints that accept either an API key or OAuth.
- Icons the AI Agent adds to Callouts, Cards, and Accordions now render on the page.
Enterprise
- Group admins can switch End User Login's New User Access from Automatic Viewer to Needs Manual Approval.
- Editors now see hidden sections in the navigation, marked as hidden, the same way admins do.
- AI Discovery settings in the Enterprise dashboard are now saved together with the Save button, and settings that child projects can override are applied to every child project on save.
Git Sync
- The Branches page now reflects changes pushed from your repository in each branch's updated time and sort order.
