Restoring Branches
October 9, 2026

Deleting a branch by mistake no longer means losing it for good. Deleted branches now stick around for a week, so you can bring one back if you need it.
New Features & Improvements
Branches
- Deleted branches are now kept for 7 days under the Recently Deleted filter on the Branches page, where you can restore them or permanently delete them.
- Branches that come in from your connected Git repository now show their commit author as the owner, with an External badge for authors who aren't on the project.
Translations
- Each AI language on the Translations page now has a re-translate button that translates the whole language again from the source, including moved pages and renamed categories. This replaces any edits made in that language.
- Group admins can now give the AI translator custom context for each language (like “use vous” for French) from a new settings gear on each AI language row.
- Reusable Content and custom components on AI-translated versions now show their translation status in their editor, and can be re-translated individually.
Docs
- A new Validate Required Fields setting in API Reference settings makes Try It check that every required field has a value before sending a request.
- The API Reference Interactions setting in Appearance now lets you choose separately whether to show the authentication form, the parameter inputs, and Try It.
- Breadcrumbs now have their own color in Appearance, and the Boreal and Snow themes use your brand color for them by default.
- The AI dropdown now appears on docs that require a login. ChatGPT and Claude links stay available on public docs only.
Editor
- Table columns can now be resized by dragging a column‘s border.
- The editor sidebar now has a New button for adding a page, category, or link at the level you‘re viewing.
API
- New glossary endpoints let you export, merge, or replace a project's glossary terms.
- Project settings can now be updated through the public API with
PATCH /projects/me.
AI
- Ask AI, the AI Agent, and MCP search now return more relevant documentation results.
Performance
- Search and API Reference pages for large API definitions now load faster.

API Reference
- Body Params and the raw JSON editor now stay in sync, and toggling the JSON editor keeps your request body.
- Try It now sends required empty objects and arrays as
{}and[], including when every item in a required array is cleared. x-explorer-enabledon an operation now takes precedence over the API Reference Interactions setting.
Docs
- Switching languages on an enterprise child project's landing page now stays on that project's landing page.
- URLs prefixed with a language code the project doesn't have now return a 404.
- Ask AI keeps linking to your doc pages when a custom prompt is set.
Editor
- Enter and Backspace next to variables now behave like they do next to regular text, and Backspace on an empty nested list row leaves an unnumbered paragraph.
- Creating or switching to a branch now keeps you on the page you were viewing.
- Deleting a branch now also deletes it from your connected Git repository more reliably.
Docs Audit
- Fix All is now disabled when you‘re on a different branch from the audit, or for pages moved or deleted since the audit ran.
- The + Example Rule button on the Linter Rules settings now stays visible while you type in a rule.
Admin
- Dashboard Insights and Recent Activity now populate for private projects.
- Invite emails and emailed login links for enterprise child projects now go to the child project‘s URL.
Translations
- The editor footer now shows the translation status of the page you have open, including pages that failed to translate after an edit.
- Reordering sections on a source page now keeps each section's translation with it.
