Adding line breaks to markdown tables synced via RDME tool

Hi,
Is it possible to include line breaks in markdown tables synced via the RDME tool?
You used to be able to use
tags to include line breaks in markdown tables, but that doesn't seem work anymore.
Any guidance on the exact behavior of tables in the Readme editor/sync would be greatly appreciated.
